Securing the Vote: Women’s Suffrage in Indiana (Banned Books Week 2020)

Securing the Vote: Women’s Suffrage in Indiana is a mobile exhibit through the Indiana Historical Society and is at KVML through Sunday, September 27, 2020. The exhibit takes visitors on a journey introducing them to the strong Indiana women who labored tirelessly for suffrage in our home state. The exhibit begins in 1851 with Hoosier Amanda Way initiating the first Women’s Rights Convention in Dublin, Indiana, and takes visitors all the way through the historic decision in 1920 allowing women to vote. We are so excited to be part of this wonderful exhibition! Ticket includes virtual or in-person viewing of the exhibit. For the complete schedule of Banned Books Week Events, please visit vonnegutlibrary.org.
